High School Student Green Belt

High school green belt certifications are available for those students who have passed their initial yellow belt training. As we continue to promote Lean Six Sigma training in public schools, we want schools to have our resources to rely on for continuing education well beyond the initial stages of the program. That is why we’re proud to offer intermediate training courses to help students continue their studies and pass their green belt certification and to be able to move onto the master black belt level.

Requirements
The requirements for the green belt asks for a minimum score of 385 points out of a possible 500 points before the green belt can be awarded. It is recommended that the yellow belt course be attended and achieved beforehand so that concepts and their transitions are more natural and build on one another. Through our green belt training courses, we optimize the course material so that you know how to be prepared for the green belt certification course and are ready to take on the challenge with ease.

Advanced Training
Advanced training is available for those students looking to turn their green belt into a master black belt. Advanced training is instructed by our licensed professionals who can assist students that either want to achieve master black belt status or they would like to go on to become Lean Six Sigma trainers themselves. Advanced training gives students the skills and tools to not only master the black belt certification course but also how to apply such concepts to real-life scenarios in the workplace.

Next Steps
As mentioned previously, the next steps moving forward include obtaining a master black belt or going on to be a trainer in the same course. We offer training courses for those that simply want to achieve their master black belt and apply it to their workplace or for those that also want to become trainers and train others in the Lean Six Sigma methodology. Once you have completed a certification, you will then be granted a formal certification award and with the potential for a graduation ceremony honor that will distinguish you from the rest of your peers.

Educational Skills
In the green belt certification course, students will look further at the different areas within the program, including define, measure, analyze, improve, and control products, waste, and energy or resources. This intermediate course is intended to build upon the yellow belt concepts that are more theoretical. The green belt will give you first-hand practice on how to identify these concepts and apply them, as well as pushing your critical thinking skills to dissect scenarios for positive outcomes. You'll look at business models, case studies, and much more to understand how and why the Lean Six Sigma system is important for business purposes and use. If the program is being used for high school students, they will approach it in similar regard but with more attention paid to scenarios that are specific or relative to them.
